Dele-Bashiru scores first Lazio goal in emphatic win at Juventus

Fisayo Dele-Bashiru came off the bench to score his first goal of the 2026/2027 campaign as Lazio secured a convincing 3-0 victory over Juventus at the Allianz Stadium on Sunday night.
The Super Eagles midfielder, who has had a difficult start to the season, completed the scoring late in the match with an impressive solo effort.
Dele-Bashiru collected the ball in his own half and drove forward before finishing into the bottom corner to give Lazio a third goal and put the result beyond doubt.
It was his first goal for Lazio since the start of the current campaign. The Nigerian international had played in four matches across all competitions before finding the net against Juventus.
He was brought on with 21 minutes remaining, replacing Dutch midfielder Kenneth Taylor as Lazio looked to protect their advantage and secure a dominant win away from home.
The appearance followed a challenging opening to the season for the former Manchester City midfielder, whose availability for club and country had been affected by fitness problems.
Those injury issues ruled Dele-Bashiru out of Nigeria’s 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches against Madagascar and Guinea-Bissau.
He also missed four league fixtures for Lazio, against Genoa, Udinese, AC Milan and Venezia, while recovering from the injury.
Dele-Bashiru will now hope his performance against Juventus can lead to more regular contributions for Lazio as the 2026/2027 campaign continues.
