Cyriel Dessers certain of UEFA Champions League qualification

Rangers forward, Cyriel Dessers has shown positivity towards his side’s qualifying for the UEFA Champions League group stage.

The Gers had a thrilling 2-2 draw against PSV in the first leg at the Ibrox Stadium. Dessers believes the club should focus on the positives from the game as he prays for the same outcome in the second leg.

He revealed it wasn’t an easy game against PSV and foresees an open encounter in the second leg.

“We have to take the positives from the game and I’m sure we will. There’s everything to play for next week, it is the same scenario as last year, so let’s hope we can have the same outcome,” Dessers was quoted by Brila FM.

“There was some mixed feelings, it wasn’t an easy game for us, this is a good team. I think overall, we played a decent match, we had our moments.

“When you score two at home against a good team, you feel like you deserve more but that is football and there is everything to play for next week.”

Rangers will engage PSV in the reverse fixture on Wednesday August 30.
