adidas and Al Ahli Saudi FC reveal 2026-27 kits celebrating club identity and heritage

adidas and Al Ahli Saudi FC have unveiled the club’s official home and away kits for the 2026-27 season, with the two designs drawing on the Saudi club’s history, identity and long-standing traditions.

The kits have been created as complementary chapters in the story of one of the oldest football clubs in Saudi Arabia. The home shirt focuses on the close relationship between Al Ahli’s supporters and players, while the away design reflects the club’s continuing pursuit of excellence, ambition and leadership.

Together, the shirts present a club that remains proud of its traditions while continuing to shape its future.

The home kit is inspired by the phrase “Guardians of the Fortress, Always Present and Forever Loyal”, highlighting the shared responsibility of the players and supporters to protect Al Ahli’s identity.

Its design takes inspiration from the famous Makkah Gate in Jeddah and incorporates geometric details based on a medieval shield. The result is a modern interpretation of strength, unity and determination.

A bold green section across the shoulders is intended to resemble protective armour, while the redesigned collar and hem details represent discipline, pride and responsibility. The design places the relationship between the club and its fan base at the centre of the shirt’s visual identity.

The away kit is built around the concept “The Royal Club – Born from the Past. Celebrating the Future”, a reference to Al Ahli Saudi FC’s status and reputation as one of the country’s most historic clubs.

The shirt uses a clean white base, with gold detailing symbolising luxury, achievement and ambition. Familiar green touches reinforce the club’s established identity and provide a link with its traditional colours.

The away shirt also marks a first in the club’s history. It is the first Al Ahli Saudi FC kit to feature the iconic adidas Originals logo on the pitch, combining the heritage of football with contemporary culture.

Both shirts are equipped with adidas AEROREADY technology, designed to help keep players and supporters comfortable throughout matches and to support performance on and off the field.

Bilal Fares, adidas general manager for emerging markets, said: “This season’s home and away kits represent two important chapters in Al Ahli Saudi FC’s identity. The home kit celebrates the loyalty and unity of the ‘Guardians of the Fortress’, while the away kit honours the club’s celebrated legacy as ‘The Royal Club’. Together, the designs celebrate the values, culture and ambition that continue to unite generations of Al Ahli supporters.”

Amir Tawfiq, Al Ahli Saudi FC’s chief commercial officer, added: “These kits represent more than what our players wear on matchday; they reflect the pride, ambition and sense of belonging that define Al Ahli Saudi FC. Every detail was designed to connect our supporters with the club they love, allowing them to celebrate our rich heritage while looking confidently towards the future. In partnership with adidas, we are proud to present kits that supporters can wear with passion and pride.”

As football continues to bring communities together around the world, adidas said it remains committed to creating designs that celebrate identity, culture and the distinctive connection between clubs and their supporters.

The Al Ahli Saudi FC 2026-27 home and away kits will be available across Saudi Arabia and in selected markets from 12 August 2026.
