Ahmed Garba confident of Kano Pillars’ success against NPFL giants

By Saheed Afolabi

Kano Pillars coach, Ahmed Garba, is confident in his team’s ability to overcome any challenges in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) as they continue their pursuit of success.

The Sai Masu Gida currently sit eighth on the NPFL table with 19 points from 13 games, seven points behind leaders Remo Stars.

Despite their position, Garba remains optimistic about his team’s prospects and believes they can still pull off surprise results against top sides in the league.

Garba expressed regret that their scheduled match against Enyimba had been called off due to the Aba giants’ continental commitments, but he remained hopeful that when the two teams eventually meet, his side could stun their opponents.

“Against Enyimba, we could have proven the doubters wrong because we’ve done it several times this season, even on the road,” Garba said, as quoted by Kano Pillars. “Nevertheless, when the time comes, we’ll be ready.”

Kano Pillars will next face former NPFL champions, Rivers United, in a crucial fixture at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium on Sunday, December 1st.

Garba’s side will be looking to continue their push for a top position as they take on the defending champions.
