Chinwendu Ihezuo scores hat-trick in Pachuca big win against Mazatlan FC

Former Monterrey forward, Chinwendu Ihezuo scored three goals during Pachuca’s 7-0 thrashing of Mazatlan FC in a league match on Monday.

Veronica Corral and Alexandra Godinez scored the first two goals of the encounter for the Mexican side at the Estadio Miguel Hidalgo, Pachuca.

Corral scored her second goal of the match to make it 4-0 in the 33rd minute.

One of Nigeria’s representatives at the women’s football tournament of the Paris 2024 Olympics, Ihezuo, scored the fifth goal in the 49th minute.

Kenti Robles added the sixth goal in the 61st minute as Ihezuo completed her hat-trick in the 87th minute of play.

With six goals in the league this season, Ihezuo and her compatriot, Osinachi Ohale, played the full 90 minutes of the match.

With the comprehensive win, Pachuca occupied the top position on the log with 24 points after eight games, three points ahead of UANL Tigres, which had an outstanding match.

Pachuca will visit Juarez in their next league encounter on September 8, 2024.
