Daniel Ogunmodede bemoans Remo Stars’ slip up against Bendel Insurance
By Wale Mustapha
Daniel Ogunmodede, Technical Adviser of Remo Stars is livid over his side’s 1-1 draw against Bendel Insurance FC in the  Nigeria Premier Football League clash in Ikenne on Sunday.
Remo Stars were expected to consolidate on a valuable point gained against Shooting Stars against the Benin Arsenals and hosts made a bright start grabbing the lead in the 16th minute through their Ghanaian import, Kwame Mawuena but  Divine Nwachukwu’s well taken free kick forced the contest to a stalemate.
A disappointed Remo tactician admitted the home slip up altered his team’s plans to advance on the log but is  optimistic about regaining their lost points in subsequent games.
“Its one of those bitter pill to swallow in football unfortunately I cannot change that now, we just have to pick up the pieces and focus on the next game,” Ogunmodede told Nigeriafootball.ng.
“Its a two points loss for us, we needed the win to consolidate on the point gained on the road, its painful we have played three consecutive draws, but don’t we are yet to lose a game in the second round as well.
“We will assess this game, work on grey areas and start working on the next game in Aba with the aim of getting the three points which I think its possible as impossible is nothing, in football.”
Remo Stars are fourth on the Group A table with 23 points from 14 games, same as third placed Akwa United.
