Emmanuel Dennis in contention for Brøndby return against AB

Emmanuel Dennis could make his first competitive appearance since May when Brøndby visit Akademisk Boldklub in the last 16 of the Betano Cup on Tuesday evening, reports allnigeriasoccer.com.
The Nigeria forward has been included in manager Thomas Nørgaard’s 21-man squad for the tie and is therefore in contention to feature for the first time this season.
Dennis’ last official appearance came on 10 May 2026, when he came off the bench during Brøndby’s 2-0 defeat by Aarhus and played the final 14 minutes.
The 28-year-old has been training with his team-mates since September after recovering from a muscular injury. His return to the squad gives him the opportunity to end a lengthy absence from competitive football against AB.
Dennis joined Brøndby during the winter transfer window, having spent six months as a free agent. The move reunited him with former Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cooper.
The Super Eagles forward has also played for Club Brugge, FC Cologne, Watford and Nottingham Forest during his career.
Despite that experience, Dennis has struggled to find the net in Denmark. He has scored once in 11 Superliga appearances for Brøndby.
