“Everything depends on the match” -Finidi sees Lobi Stars, Remo Stars’ clash as title decider
By Wale Mustapha
Technical Adviser of Rivers United, George Finidi has explained that the outcome of the clash between Lobi Stars and Remo Stars will have telling implications in the title race of Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL season.
The Sky Blues Stars will be guests to Lobi Stars on Wednesday in a rescheduled Matchday 30 in Bauchi.
A win for Remo Stars will extend their lead at the top of the league table to eight points and Rivers United are in second position on the log.
Finidi declared that irrespective of the outcome of the match, his team will continue to put more pressure on Remo Stars.
“We will go out and see how we can pick points away from home, if we can do that we will close up the gap.
“Another thing also is that Remo Stars are playing Lobi Stars today, everything depends on the match also. If Remo Stars don’t win I think week 33 fixtures will almost be a decider.
“If we go out and get a good result I think we will put more pressure on them,” Finidi stated in an interview with the club’s media.
