Ex-Galatasaray star slams Victor Osimhen’s teammates for lack of creativity

Former Galatasaray star and Super Lig winner, Sergen Yalcın, has sharply criticized Victor Osimhen’s teammates for their lack of support in the club’s title race, particularly accusing wingers Barış Yılmaz and Roland Sallai of failing to provide the necessary creativity.

Yalcın expressed frustration over the performance of both wingers, who he believes should be helping Osimhen shine in Galatasaray’s bid for the Super Lig title.

Despite Yılmaz scoring 10 goals in 24 league appearances, his solitary assist this season has raised concerns about his ability to deliver the service needed for Osimhen, who has been carrying much of the attacking load.

Similarly, Roland Sallai, who joined Galatasaray this summer, has struggled with just one goal and zero assists in 19 appearances, adding to Yalcın’s frustrations.

“The right wing, the left wing, where are they? It was said that these are very talented players, but where are they? No, no! You asked what Galatasaray should do at half-time, and I said they need a proper winger,” Yalcın told Sporx.

Despite the lack of creativity from the wings, Osimhen has continued to impress, taking on the responsibility of Galatasaray’s attack.

The Nigerian striker scored a brace in their thrilling 3-3 draw against Kasimpasa on Sunday, bringing his tally to 22 goals and five assists in 28 appearances this season.
