Ghana’s head coach, Otto Addo, voiced his belief that his team deserved a draw in their recent international friendly against Nigeria, despite a 2-1 defeat in Morocco.

Addo conceded that Ghana faced misfortune with the goals conceded, particularly the first-half penalty scored by Cyril Dessers. While acknowledging Nigeria’s superiority in the first half, Addo highlighted Ghana’s improved performance in the second half, despite playing with a player less.

“I don’t like to dwell solely on positives when we’ve lost, but we were unfortunate with the way we conceded the first goal,” Addo remarked. “In the second half, despite playing with 10 men, we performed admirably. We controlled the game and were unlucky with our finishing.”

“Ghana’s upcoming friendly against Uganda presents another opportunity for us to showcase our strengths and continue our development,” Addo concluded.
