Hull City target Millwall winger Femi Azeez after Nigeria Unity Cup success

Hull City are considering a move for Millwall winger Femi Azeez as they prepare for a return to the Premier League, according to Football League World.

The 25-year-old Nigeria international has attracted renewed attention after an impressive 2025-26 Championship campaign. Azeez scored 11 goals and supplied eight assists in 37 appearances for Millwall, helping the club reach the play-offs.

His form also carried over to the international stage, where he was one of Nigeria’s strongest performers at the Unity Cup. Azeez scored twice and created one goal for the Super Eagles during the competition.

Those performances for both club and country have significantly increased his profile and placed him among the players attracting interest ahead of the new season.

Ipswich Town are reported to have made a £20m offer for Azeez after securing promotion, but that bid was rejected. Millwall are understood to value the winger at about £30m.

The London club are in a strong negotiating position because Azeez still has two years remaining on his contract. As a result, Millwall are under no immediate pressure to sell and are expected to demand a substantial fee for a player they regard as an important part of their plans.

There is currently no suggestion that Azeez is seeking a transfer. However, the prospect of playing in the Premier League could appeal to the winger, particularly after his breakthrough season and growing international reputation.

It remains unclear how serious Hull City’s interest is or whether they would be prepared to meet Millwall’s valuation. Any approach is unlikely to be welcomed by Millwall, who view Azeez as central to their hopes of mounting another promotion challenge following his excellent performances last term.

Hull have returned to the Premier League and are assessing their options ahead of the next campaign. Their interest in Azeez comes after a season in which the winger established himself as a key attacking figure for Millwall and made a strong impression with Nigeria.

For Millwall, the decision will centre on whether a potential transfer fee reflects Azeez’s importance to the team and the financial value of retaining a player capable of contributing goals and assists. With his contract extending through the next two seasons, the club can resist offers unless its valuation is met.

A move to Hull would give Azeez the opportunity to test himself in the Premier League, but the two clubs appear some distance apart while Millwall continue to hold the stronger hand in any negotiations.
