Joy Omewa bags brace in Fortuna Hjorring victory over KoldingQ

Former Confluence Queens forward Joy Omewa scored two goals as her Danish side, Fortuna Hjorring, defeated KoldingQ 4-1 on Sunday.
She opened scoring for the host heading home Ashley Reifner’s cross in the eighth minute at the Nord Energi Arena, Hjorring.
Omewa also had a hand in her team’s second goal by setting up Anastasia Pobegaylo in the 16th minute.
Four minutes into the second half, Tiia Peltonen reduced the deficit for KoldingQ as she put the ball into her net.
Joy scored her second goal of the match 64th minute before Signe Christensen made it 4-1 in the 89th minute.
She saw 82 minutes of action and was replaced by Samantha Kuhne after scoring her fourth goal with three assists in four league games.
The win lifted Fortuna to the league summit with a maximum of 12 points after four games, the same as second-placed Nordsjaelland.
They will next face Odense Q in another league duel on September 15.
