Musa Bashar seals free move to Niger Tornadoes from Kanemi Warriors

Nigeria forward Musa Bashar has joined Niger Tornadoes on a free transfer from Kanemi Warriors. The 20-year-old centre-forward, a left-footed attacker, has made the switch ahead of the new NPFL campaign after his contract with Kanemi came to an end.
Bashar arrives at Tornadoes having already gained top-flight experience. Last season in the Nigeria Premier Football League he made 14 appearances, scoring two goals and providing one assist, totalling 1,254 minutes on the pitch. His minutes-per-goal ratio of 627 underlines that he featured regularly, even if largely in a supporting scoring role.
Born on 10 January 2006, Bashar has been building his career steadily in the Nigerian game. He joined Kanemi Warriors at the start of 2026 from Sokoto United, working his way into NPFL action before earning this latest move. His current market value is listed at €25,000, reflecting his status as an emerging player within the domestic league.
Niger Tornadoes will look to use Bashar primarily through the middle, with his main position being centre-forward, though his profile also suggests he is comfortable operating across the front line. The move also keeps him in familiar surroundings within Nigerian football, as both clubs compete in the same national structure.
Bashar’s transfer to Niger Tornadoes was completed on 24 July 2026 on a free transfer, with the forward now registered as part of the club’s attacking options for the upcoming season.
