NNL: Gombe United strengthen squad with five new signings

By Wale Mustapha

Gombe United have bolstered their squad with the signing of five new players ahead of the second half of the Nigeria National League (NNL) season.

The newly recruited players were announced on Monday, with Bidemi Owoko joining from Bendel Insurance, Abraham Audu making the move from El-Kanemi Warriors, and Umar Musa Laduwa transferring from Sokoto United.

Additionally, Abdullahi Muhammed Yayo and Daka Peter have moved from Zamfara United to bolster the squad.

In addition to the new signings, Gombe United have promoted three players—Bello Muhammad Alhajiyel, Waleed Abdullahi Jika, and Abdulrazak Muhammad—from the youth team to the first team.

The Savannah Scorpions are optimistic that these new additions will provide a significant boost to the team, helping them achieve their goals for the season.

Gombe United currently sit in third place on the Group C table of the NNL, and the club hopes these reinforcements will aid their push for a strong finish in the competition.
