Katsina United Technical Adviser, Azeez Audu, has credited his side’s 1-0 victory over Shooting Stars to their adherence to the club’s ideology and their patience throughout the Nigerian top-flight encounter.
The Chanji Boys claimed a late stoppage-time goal to secure the win in their recent Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) clash at the Mohammed Dikko Stadium in Katsina on Friday.
Taofeek Ahmed was the hero, scoring the lone goal that moved Katsina United into the top half of the NPFL standings.
Audu expressed his satisfaction with the performance and praised his players for their resilience, and was confident the goal would eventually come due to his team’s dominance in the match.
“I’m excited and happy with the win, it’s a deserved one. We took control of the game from the blast of the whistle till the end.
We believe in our plans and approach, and we were patient knowing the goal would come.
“It came at the time we needed it. It was a very good game, and I am very proud of my boys.”
Katsina United will travel to face Niger Tornadoes in their next fixture.
