NWFL Premiership MD 12 Preview: Which team will join Edo, Bayelsa, and Rivers in the Playoffs?

With three games to the end of the regular season, teams continue to jostle for three more Super Six Playoffs spots on Matchday 12 from Groups A and B.
Three teams, Edo Queens, Rivers Angels, and Bayelsa Queens, booked their places last week.
More teams are expected to join them depending on the outcomes of games this week.
Matchday 12 serves as reverse fixtures of Matchday four with exciting games on the cards below.
Group A
Edo Queens vs Dannaz Ladies
With pride to play for after securing their place at the Super Six, Edo Queens welcome Dannaz Ladies to the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City.
The host has 11 match unbeaten record and a combined 14 invincible runs after a 2-1 loss to Rivers Angels en route to winning the title at last season’s Playoffs.
They have won four of their five home games this season except for the 1-1 draw with Remo Stars, the team they ended their indomitable home record in Ikenne last week.
Dannaz Ladies is making their second appearance in the league but is yet to win any of their last nine league games.
The form includes four draws and five losses as the Cedars search for their first away win.
With three losses and two draws in their last five trips, the Lagos-based side has some glimmer of an upset in their sleeves.
The reverse fixtures in Lagos ended in a 1-1 draw which was a stunning result for the Cedars.
Ekiti Queens vs Nasarawa Amazons
Ekiti Queens welcome Nasarawa Amazons here, hoping to end their six-match winless streak.
Last week, they ended their run of five straight losses with a 1-1 against Dannaz Ladies in Lagos.
With a form of three wins and two losses at home, their last two visitors had smiled home win victories despite playing at two different homegrounds in Ilorin and Ibadan respectively.
Nasarawa Amazons, which is pushing for Super Six Playoffs spots, is a team that can continue Ekiti Queens’ recent run of bad home form.
The Solid Babes have won two and lost three of their previous five travels in the league.
The reverse fixture ended 2-0 in favour of Christopher Danjuma’s side.
Confluence Queens vs Abia Angels
One of the teams with an abysmal record in the league, Confluence Queens hope to secure their second win of the campaign in Ayingba.
The Lokoja-based side has won one, drawn one, and lost three of their five home games.
A win, draw, and two losses in their four games proved to be an improvement on their previous seven straight losses.
Abia Angels have found some sort of form in the league and interestingly vying for a Super Six Playoffs just like their Oriental rivals, Heartland Queens, which, against all odds, made it to the Playoffs last season.
With an impressive form of six wins, a draw, and four losses, the Aba-based side has won one of their five away games with a draw and three setbacks.
The reverse fixture ended in a 3-0 win for Abia Angels.
Heartland Queens vs Remo Stars Ladies
After last week’s 1-0 loss to Abia Angels in the Oriental derby, Heartland Queens host Remo Stars Ladies.
Obi Ogbala’s side have won two of their 11 games, a contrast to six recorded after the same games last season.
The two wins came at home coupled with two draws and a loss.
Remo Stars Ladies hope to return to winning ways after holders, Edo Queens ended their indomitable home record last season.
The loss was their second in the league this season making it a loss each at home and away.
Their away form include three wins, two draws, and a loss against Nasarawa Amazons.
The reverse fixture ended 4-1 in favour of Remo Stars Ladies in Ikenne.
Group B
Rivers Angels vs Delta Queens
Rivers Angels and Delta Queens face off in the South South derby, one of the highly anticipated games in the league every season.
The host have already qualified for the Super Six Playoffs while their South South neighbours continue to amass points for the Playoffs qualification after missing out last season.
The Jewel of Rivers have wok four of their five home games in Port Harcourt with a 1-1 against another South South side, Bayelsa Queens the missing piece.
Delta Queens on the other hand search for their first away win. The Pearls have lost three and drawn two of their five trips.
Rivers Angels have a good head-to-head record over their opponents with four wins from the last 10 meetings while Delta Queens have won once with five of those games ending in stalemates especially 0-0 draws on four occasions.
Rivers Angels won the reverse fixture 2-1 in Asaba.
Adamawa Queens vs Bayelsa Queens
The Prosperity Girls pay Fintiri Queens a visit in Numan here.
The host have won two of their five home matches with a draw and two losses.
Those two losses came in their new homeground, Numan after two wins and a draw in Pantami.
Bayelsa Queens, one of the remaining two unbeaten teams in the league have an impressive form on all sides, home and away.
They have won three of their five away games with two draws.
The reverse fixture saw Ogbonda Whyte’s side secured a 3-0 win in Yenegoa.
Benue Queens vs Ibom Angels
It has not been a fairly tale debut season for Benue Queens with nine straight losses.
They ended the barren run two weeks ago with 1-1 draw against Delta Queens and returned to status quo following a 2-0 loss at Bayelsa Queens.
They have lost four of their five home games with a draw.
Ibom Angels have won four games in the league this season which has been at home.
The are not good travelers with five straight losses away from home for Edwin Okon’s side.
They won the reverse fixture 1-0 in Uyo.
Naija Ratels vs FC Robo Queens
FC Robo Queens take their charge to qualify for the Playoffs against Naija Ratels to Abuja with a good run of form.
The Lagos Landladies have won their last three games ending a run of three previous straight losses.
Emmanuel Osahon’s side have won two of their five away games with three losses.
Their host, Naija Ratels have an unbeaten home record of three wins and two draws.
They hope to end consecutive losses on the road to Rivers Angels and Ibom Angels.
The reverse fixture in Lagos ended in a 2-2 draw.
