Omar Marmoush transfer to Tottenham expected to be completed in coming days
Fabrizio Romano says Manchester City forward Omar Marmoush is expected to join Tottenham Hotspur during the current summer transfer window, with optimism surrounding a deal that could be completed in the coming days.
Romano, the transfer specialist, addressed Marmoush’s situation on his YouTube channel and indicated that the Egypt international is likely to become the next player to move from Manchester City to Tottenham Hotspur after Savinho.
“Omar Marmoush is the next player who will move from City to Tottenham after Savinho,” Romano said.
He added that Marmoush has already reached an agreement with Tottenham over the personal terms of his contract. According to Romano, the player is enthusiastic about the proposed move and the new project at Tottenham, where he could become an important figure for manager Roberto De Zerbi.
“Marmoush already has an agreement on the personal terms of his contract with Tottenham Hotspur, and he is also excited about this move and the new project at Tottenham, with the possibility of becoming a very important player for Roberto De Zerbi,” Romano said.
The report suggests the Egyptian forward’s decision has helped bring clarity to speculation over his future. Marmoush is understood to have found opportunities limited at Manchester City under Pep Guardiola, and Romano believes that situation is unlikely to change during the current season, with Enzo Maresca also mentioned in relation to the expected circumstances.
“Marmoush found very limited playing time at Manchester City under Pep Guardiola, and the situation is also expected to remain the same this season with Enzo Maresca in place,” Romano said.
Romano stopped short of suggesting the transfer would be completed immediately. However, he expects Tottenham to finalise the signing shortly, with negotiations apparently moving towards a conclusion.
“Tottenham are expected to complete the signing of Marmoush, probably not today, but in the coming days. There is optimism about completing the deal,” he said.
The proposed transfer would see Marmoush leave Manchester City for Tottenham Hotspur after a spell in which, according to Romano’s assessment, the forward has struggled to secure regular opportunities. His possible move would also place him at the centre of Tottenham’s new project, with the club viewing him as a player who could take on a significant role under De Zerbi.
For now, the deal remains expected rather than completed, but Romano’s comments indicate that the main terms between Marmoush and Tottenham have already been agreed. The remaining steps are anticipated to be concluded over the next few days, rather than on the day of Romano’s update.
The transfer has therefore moved beyond initial speculation, with Marmoush’s position and personal agreement pointing towards a likely switch from Manchester City to Tottenham Hotspur.
