Paul Onuachu: Nigerian striker set to join Trabzonspor on permanent deal

Turkish Super Lig giants, Trabzonspor are set to open discussions with Southampton to secure the full acquisition of Nigerian striker, Paul Onuachu.

The Super Eagles’ forward Trabzonspor in the summer on loan from the Saints and has hit the ground running with scintillating performance scoring six goals, one assist in 11 games.

Onuachu who is one of the products of FC Ebedei whose contract with Southampton still running till 2025/26 season.

Multiple reports from Turkey have indicated that Trabzonspor are preparing to strike a deal with the Saints to add a buyout clause on Onuachu’s deal which will be easy to secure his full services in the summer.

It is also reported that the English club will be willing to see the 27 year old striker leave permanently if Trabzonspor can offer €15million.

Meanwhile Trabzonspor are ready to negotiate for a reduced fee to land the former Genk forward.

The experienced striker is looking for a return to national team despite his recent run of form at club level.
