Peter Maapia seals CS Dinamo Bucuresti switch from Dinamo II on season-long loan

Nigeria attacking midfielder Peter Maapia has joined CS Dinamo Bucuresti on loan from Dinamo II for the 2026-27 campaign. The 20-year-old links up with the Liga 2 side after progressing through the Dinamo system and spending last season gaining experience in Romanian football.

Maapia operates primarily as an attacking midfielder and stands at 1.75m. He has been valued at around €100,000 and moves across the Dinamo structure in search of regular senior action at league level. The deal is a straight loan, with Maapia scheduled to return to Dinamo II at the end of June 2027.

The Nigerian spent the 2025-26 season on loan at Gloria Bistrita, where he featured in Liga 2 and the Romanian Cup. Across all competitions he made 24 appearances, scoring two goals and providing five assists, including 16 league outings in which he registered two goals and four assists. He also featured in the Liga 2 play-out, adding further minutes in a survival battle environment.

Before heading to Bistrita, Maapia had a series of short-term spells to build his experience, including loans from FC Dinamo to CSM Fetesti and Campulung during the 2024-25 season. He initially arrived in Romanian football with FC Dinamo after leaving Nigerian outfit Ikon Allah FA in 2024.

Maapia’s latest move keeps him within the Dinamo pathway but gives him a platform at CS Dinamo Bucuresti in Liga 2 for the duration of the 2026-27 season.
