Pyramids FC mourns sudden death of match director Hisham Zaid

Pyramids FC is mourning the death of Major General Hisham Zaid, the club’s director of match administration, after he suffered a sudden health crisis in recent days. He was taken to a hospital in New Cairo but died on Tuesday.

The club’s board of directors, executive committee and staff expressed their deep sadness at the loss and offered their condolences to Zaid’s family and relatives.

In a statement, Pyramids FC described Zaid as a highly respected professional known for his loyalty, commitment and dedication to his work. It said he had made a significant contribution to the club during the years he was responsible for match administration.

Zaid played a prominent role in organising and managing Pyramids FC fixtures, a responsibility that placed him at the centre of the club’s matchday operations. His work was recognised by the club, which said he had given a great deal to Pyramids FC throughout his time in the role.

The club again extended its condolences to the family of the deceased and prayed that he would be granted mercy and a place in paradise. It also asked for patience and strength for his relatives following his death, which has left the club in a state of mourning.

The funeral prayer for Major General Hisham Zaid will take place on Tuesday afternoon. His body will then be buried in the family cemetery.

Pyramids FC’s tribute followed the sudden deterioration in Zaid’s health, which led to his transfer to a hospital in New Cairo before his death. The club’s statement did not provide further details about the nature of the illness.
