Rumors are swirling around the potential transfer of Nigeria and Leicester City midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi, with Turkish powerhouse Galatasaray reportedly renewing their interest in the player ahead of the summer transfer window.

Ndidi, who serves as the assistant captain for the Super Eagles, finds himself in the final stages of his contract with the Foxes.

Despite Leicester’s current position atop the English Championship table, contract talks with Ndidi and his compatriot, Kelechi Iheanacho, who is also set to become a free agent at the end of the season, have yet to commence.

Manager Enzo Maresca has made it clear that discussions regarding contracts will only commence after Leicester secures promotion to the Premier League.

In the meantime, Galatasaray is reportedly aiming to entice Ndidi to Turkey by leveraging their participation in the Champions League. According to reports from A Sport, the Turkish club sees Ndidi as a key target for bolstering their midfield.

This isn’t the first time Ndidi’s name has been linked with top clubs; in the past, he has been associated with renowned teams such as Bayern Munich, Sevilla, and Nottingham Forest.

Since joining Leicester City from Belgian Pro League club KRC Genk in January 2017, Ndidi has amassed over 260 appearances for the Foxes, contributing 15 goals and 18 assists to the team.

He has also clinched both the English FA Cup and Community Shield titles during his tenure with the club.
