Wrexham show interest in FC Dallas defender Osaze Urhoghide

English-Nigerian defender Osaze Urhoghide is the subject of a reported move from FC Dallas to Wrexham, with the Championship club linked with a transfer for the 26-year-old.

Urhoghide has started 82% of Dallas’s possible matches in Major League Soccer this season, making 14 appearances and contributing one goal and one assist. He has also received four yellow cards.

The centre-back joined Dallas from Amiens in February 2025 in a deal worth €3m. His current market value is listed at €2m, giving the potential move a defined valuation context as Wrexham consider defensive options.

Urhoghide began his senior career with Sheffield Wednesday before moving to Celtic in 2021. He spent time on loan at Belgian club KV Oostende and won the Scottish title and Scottish League Cup with Celtic during the 2021-22 season.

He later joined Amiens before moving to Major League Soccer, where he has established himself as a regular part of the Dallas defence. The 1.88m right-footed defender can represent both England and Nigeria.

Any transfer to Wrexham would require an agreement with Dallas, as Urhoghide remains under contract with the club until 31 December 2028.
