AFCON 2023: Didier Drogba warns Cote d’Ivoire about Nigeria in glory hunt

Former Chelsea and Cote d’Ivoire striker, Didier Drogba has tipped Nigeria to win the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Ivory Coast will host the tournament from January 13 to February 11, and they have been grouped alongside the three-time winners Nigeria, Equatorial Guinea, and Guinea-Bissau.
The Super Eagles boast of strikers excelling in Germany, Italy, France, England, and Spain, making them the biggest foes in the group.
Drogba urged the Ivory Coast national team to bring their A-game to the AFCON when facing the Super Eagles or face elimination.
“All these teams deserve to participate in the competition, and they will try to play well,” he told BBC.
“Nigeria with Victor Osimhen and other players who are outstanding in the world, will play a great role and will try to win this Cup.”
