Paris 2024 Olympic Qualifier: Cameroon vs Nigeria women probable lineup

This Olympic qualifying game will take place at Douala’s Stade de la Reunification, with Randy Waldrum’s team aiming to inch closer to a spot in the Women’s Olympic Football Tournament for the first time in 16 years.

Both sides are no strangers to each other as they have met 11 times with Nigeria having the upper hand of nine wins and two losses.

The Super Falcons have won the last three encounters without conceding any goals. In fact, they won five of their last six clashes against Cameroon, keeping five clean sheets in the process.

Their most recent encounter came two years ago, at the quarter-final of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco which ended 1-0 in favor of Nigeria.

Super Falcons are currently on a four-match unbeaten run with a whopping 12 goals scored, conceding just two under their stand-in coach, Justine Magudu.

Falcons cruised through a comfortable 5-0 victory at home, followed by a 2-1 win in the second leg against Cape Verde in the WAFCON qualifiers

The nine-time African champions then defeated Ethiopia with a 5-1 aggregate score, in the next round of the 2024 Olympic qualifiers.

With Randy Waldrum back with the team, the World Cup manager would likely stick to his trusted 4-2-3-1 formation, with Asisat Oshoala being the lone forward.
