EPL: Leicester City manager confirms Wilfred Ndidi’s return date from injury

By Wale Mustapha

Leicester City manager, Ruud van Nistelrooy, has confirmed that Nigerian midfielder Wilfred Ndidi will return to training next week after a period on the sidelines due to injury.

Ndidi, who last featured for the Foxes in December 2024 during a match against Brighton & Hove Albion, was forced off the pitch with a thigh injury.

Since then, the midfielder has been recovering and has not made an appearance for Leicester.

Van Nistelrooy provided an update on Ndidi’s progress, revealing that the Nigerian international is well on his way to full recovery.

“The players available for the Fulham game will also be available for the match against Spurs on Sunday,” Van Nistelrooy said.

“Wilf is making good progress in his rehabilitation, and we hope he can be part of team training at some point next week.”

This season, Ndidi has contributed four assists in 15 league appearances for Leicester City. Fans will be eager to see the influential midfielder back in action as the Foxes continue their campaign.
