Rivers United Stay Top as Rangers, Nasarawa United Secure Key NPFL Wins

Rivers United FC maintained their position at the summit of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) following a comfortable 3–1 home victory over Bendel Insurance FC.
Goals from Chijioke Mbaoma, Wisdom Samuel and Samson Obi secured the win for the Port Harcourt side, who now lead the standings with 52 points from 27 matches under coach Finidi George.
Second-placed Rangers International FC delivered an impressive performance, thrashing Remo Stars FC 4–1 at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium.
Kenneth Igboke scored twice for the Flying Antelopes, while Chidozie Iwundu and Wisdom Ebirim added the other goals. Remo Stars’ lone strike came from Franck Kingue.
Nasarawa United FC climbed to third place after edging Ikorodu City FC 1–0 in Lafia, with Bright Amadi scoring the decisive goal seven minutes from time.
At another venue, Emeka Obioma netted a brace as Abia Warriors FC defeated Shooting Stars SC 2–0.
In Ozoro, Warri Wolves FC secured a 2–1 win over nine-time champions Enyimba FC. Qudus Olayinola opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 71st minute before Lati Yusuf doubled the lead five minutes later. Chidera Michael pulled one back for Enyimba in stoppage time.
Kwara United FC recorded the only away victory of the day, defeating Katsina United FC 2–1 at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium—their first away win of the season.
At the Sani Abacha Stadium, Ahmed Musa scored the decisive goal as Kano Pillars FC defeated Barau FC 1–0.
Meanwhile, Kun Khalifat FC edged Bayelsa United FC 1–0, with Uchechukwu Onuoha scoring the winner just before halftime.
