Burna Boy to Headline Historic FIFA World Cup 2026 Halftime Show Alongside Global Music Icons

Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Burna Boy is set to make history once again as he takes center stage during the halftime show of the 2026 FIFA World Cup final on Sunday, 19 July, further cementing Nigeria’s growing influence on the global music scene.
The blockbuster final between Spain and Argentina will feature a spectacular halftime performance with an all-star lineup, making it one of the most ambitious entertainment productions ever staged at a FIFA World Cup.
Joining Burna Boy on the global stage are international music heavyweights Justin Bieber, Shakira, Madonna, BTS, and the PS22 Chorus. The show will also include appearances by iconic characters from Sesame Street and The Muppets, adding a family-friendly touch to the event.
The halftime extravaganza is being curated by Coldplay lead vocalist Chris Martin, with Global Citizen producing the event. Beyond entertainment, the organisation says the show aims to raise funds for global education programmes and football initiatives that support children worldwide.
Fans will also be treated to a lavish closing ceremony beginning 90 minutes before kick-off, featuring performances by Post Malone, Robbie Williams, Laura Pausini, Nicole Scherzinger, and popular internet personality IShowSpeed.
Ahead of the highly anticipated final, Academy Award-winning singer Jennifer Hudson will deliver the United States national anthem, setting the stage for football’s biggest night.
