Faisal Al-Ghamdi attracts three European offers as Al-Ittihad future remains uncertain

Faisal Al-Ghamdi’s future at Al-Ittihad is uncertain after the Saudi midfielder received three offers from European clubs, with competition for a starting place increasing at the Saudi Pro League side.

The proposals have come from clubs in Spain, Portugal and Greece, according to Saudi journalist Mohammed Al-Bakiri. The offers were received by Al-Ghamdi through his agent and have since reached the Al-Ittihad board for consideration.

However, the club has yet to make a final decision on whether it will accept any of the approaches or retain the player for the upcoming season.

Al-Ghamdi is understood to want clarity before the end of the summer transfer window. The 23-year-old is keen to pursue another experience outside Saudi Arabia, having previously played abroad, and is waiting for Al-Ittihad to determine whether he can leave.

His position is influenced by concerns over his playing opportunities at the club. Competition for places in midfield is strong, with several players capable of occupying the same positions, raising the possibility that Al-Ghamdi could struggle to secure regular minutes next season.

The midfielder is therefore awaiting a decision that could shape the next stage of his career. Al-Ittihad may approve a move and allow him to begin a new European adventure, or choose to keep him within the squad for the new campaign.

For Al-Ghamdi, the amount of first-team football available to him is expected to be a decisive factor. His desire for more minutes could ultimately determine which option he prefers if the club gives him permission to discuss a transfer.

No agreement has been announced with any of the interested clubs, and Al-Ittihad’s final stance remains pending. The player’s future will depend on whether the club believes it is prepared to release him and whether one of the European proposals develops into a formal move.
