Iheanacho scores again as Bursaspor move second with win over Pendikspor

Kelechi Iheanacho scored for the 11th consecutive game as Bursaspor beat Pendikspor 2-0 at the Ataturk Spor Kompleksi on Monday night.
The Nigeria international sealed the victory by scoring his side’s second goal two minutes after the hour mark, maintaining an exceptional run in front of goal.
Bursaspor made a fast start and took the lead in the 10th minute. Halil Akbunar finished off the Green Crocodiles’ early pressure to put Mustafa Er’s team in front.
Iheanacho then doubled the advantage after meeting a cross from Lincoln inside the penalty area. Left unmarked, he powered his header into the net to complete the scoring.
The forward has now contributed 15 goals and three assists in 10 league appearances for Bursaspor this season, highlighting his importance to the team’s campaign.
The result moved Bursaspor up to second place in the league table on 25 points. They are one point behind leaders Kayserispor.
Bursaspor will attempt to extend their momentum when they return to league action against Keciorengucu on Sunday.
