Inter Milan consider €20m January move for Nigeria goalkeeper Maduka Okoye
Inter Milan are considering a €20m bid for Udinese goalkeeper Maduka Okoye as they assess long-term options before the January transfer window.
The 27-year-old Nigeria international has emerged as a potential target for the Serie A club after rebuilding his career since leaving English side Watford for Udinese in 2023.
Okoye has established himself as a dependable presence in Italian top-flight football, and his progress has attracted significant interest from Inter Milan. Udinese’s €20m valuation, however, is expected to be central to whether negotiations develop into a formal transfer.
The fee would make Okoye one of the most expensive goalkeeping targets available, but his performances have strengthened Udinese’s position. During the 2025/26 campaign, he made 30 Serie A appearances and kept 10 clean sheets.
Those displays demonstrated his ability to perform consistently against some of the strongest attacking sides in European football. Okoye has also retained his place as a trusted starter this season, producing important reaction saves, showing sharp reflexes and commanding his penalty area during demanding league matches.
Inter Milan are now weighing whether to meet Udinese’s asking price for a goalkeeper who has continued to develop since arriving from Watford. A move to San Siro would represent the biggest transfer of Okoye’s professional career.
The Nigeria goalkeeper remains an important option for his national team, adding to his profile as he attracts attention from one of Italy’s leading clubs. Inter must decide whether Okoye’s recent form justifies the €20m investment ahead of January.
If the transfer is completed, it would further enhance Okoye’s standing among Europe’s leading goalkeeping talents.
