Kylian Mbappe excites Real Madrid fans with spectacular bicycle-kick goal

Kylian Mbappe has made an eye-catching start to Real Madrid’s preparations for the new season after scoring a spectacular bicycle-kick goal in a small-sided match.

The France forward joined Real Madrid’s pre-season training on Monday, alongside Marc Cucurella, Aurelien Tchouameni and Ibrahima Konate. He then took part in his first training session with his team-mates under the guidance of Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho.

Mbappe appeared keen to make an immediate impression and shared footage of the goal on his social media accounts, according to Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo. The video quickly attracted widespread attention and became a major talking point among Real Madrid supporters.

The goal came after a long pass from goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois. Mbappe controlled the ball with his first touch before turning his body and producing an acrobatic finish into the net.

The former Paris Saint-Germain player’s technique drew an enthusiastic response online, with numerous Real Madrid fans reposting the video. The goal’s circulation on social media ensured that Mbappe’s first involvement in the club’s new-season preparations received considerable attention before he has even appeared in a full pre-season fixture.

Real Madrid are scheduled to play Deportivo de La Coruna in a friendly on Wednesday, and Mbappe could make his first appearance of the new preparation period in that match. Another opportunity may come on Sunday, when Real Madrid are due to face Schalke.

The possibility of Mbappe featuring in either game has added further interest to the opening stages of the club’s preparations. His bicycle kick has already provided supporters with an early glimpse of the attacking quality they will hope to see during the forthcoming campaign.

AS also published footage from a Real Madrid training session, with particular attention given to Mbappe’s bicycle-kick effort. The outlet’s focus on the finish underlined the extent to which the moment had captured attention around the club.

For now, the goal has come during a match played on a small-sized pitch rather than in a competitive fixture. However, it has allowed Mbappe to announce his arrival in striking fashion as he begins work with Real Madrid ahead of the new season.
