Lazio preparing new contract for Fisayo Dele-Bashiru

Lazio are preparing a new contract for Super Eagles midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, with the Serie A club keen to secure his long-term future.
The 25-year-old has become an important part of the Lazio squad since moving from Turkish club Hatayspor in 2024, despite being affected by injury problems.
Dele-Bashiru still has two years remaining on his current agreement, but Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport reports that Lazio want to extend his stay in Rome with improved terms.
The midfielder has previously been linked with a move to the Premier League, although Lazio now appear determined to retain him as part of their plans.
The club are also assessing new contracts for Danish winger Gustav Isaksen and Italian midfielder Nicolo Rovella as they seek to keep several key players at the Stadio Olimpico.
Dele-Bashiru recently returned to competitive football after suffering a hamstring injury against Bologna on the opening day of the season.
He came off the bench to play 30 minutes in Lazio’s 3-1 win over Monza last weekend, marking his first appearance since the setback.
Lazio’s next match is away against Juventus on Sunday in Serie A.
