Noah Atubolu: Freiburg goalkeeper linked with Bundesliga move to Frankfurt

German-Nigerian goalkeeper Noah Atubolu has been linked with a move from Freiburg to Bundesliga rivals Frankfurt. The 24-year-old remains a Freiburg player, and the proposed transfer has not been confirmed.

Atubolu’s current contract runs until 30 June 2027, meaning Freiburg are not facing an immediate risk of losing him on a free transfer. His reported market value is €25m, a figure that would place the goalkeeper among the more significant potential deals between Bundesliga clubs.

The rumour was recorded on 16 August 2026 and has been given a 40% probability. No transfer fee or agreement between the clubs has been reported.

Atubolu holds German and Nigerian nationality and plays as a goalkeeper. Freiburg and Frankfurt are both competing in the Bundesliga, so the reported move would keep him in Germany’s top flight rather than represent a change of league or country.

For now, Atubolu remains contracted to Freiburg, with more than 10 months left on his deal.
