NPFL: Gbenga Ogunbote lauds Heartland FC tactics after defeat

By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde
Technical Adviser of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan Gbenga Ogunbote, admits that the tactics adopted by Heartland FC helped them to edge his side in Sunday’s Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) encounter.
In his post match interview after the Oluyole Warriors narrowly lost 1-2 to the Naze Millionaires, the 3SC gaffer said the homers’ tactics did not allow his boys to play their game.
“I think it wasn’t a bad game. They have a good side with a good coach and then their tactics worked for them.
“If you watch from the begining to the end of the game, they didn’t give us any rest moment and they were not allowing us to settle down to play.
“I’m sure that was their game tactics and it worked for them”, stated the Oracle.
Meanwhile, the tactician has shifted focus to the next game which is a midweek tie at home to Lobi Stars, hoping to return to winning ways.
The Oluyole Warriors will need to grab all points against Lobi Stars on Wednesday, to keep their position on the log and to make up for the back back losses to Kwara United and Heartland FC.
The Ibadan based side remained second on the NPFL log, eight points behind Remo Stars.
