NPFL: Niger Tornadoes pip Katsina in MD 29 opener

Matchday 29 of the 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season got underway on Friday.

The opening match, which was the solitary game of the day between Niger Tornadoes and Katsina United, ended 1-0 in favour of the host and former.

Sunday Williams’ 85th-minute goal for Tornadoes separated both sides after 90 minutes.

The result lifted Niger Tornadoes to the 10th position on the table with 40 points.
Katsina United, on the other hand, occupies 13th place with 36 points.

There are nine other games to conclude Matchday 29 starting with Rangers International FC’s clash with Kwara United on Saturday.

Seven more games on Sunday, coupled with Sunshine Stars’ clash with Plateau United on Monday, will conclude Matchday 29.
