President Federation Cup: Lobi Stars focus on Solution FC clash amid fans’ unrest

By Wale Mustapha

Lobi Stars have moved past the recent unrest caused by fans at their training ground and are now fully focused on their upcoming President Federation Cup Round of 32 clash against Solution FC.

The Makurdi-based side will face the Nigeria National League (NNL) team in Aba on Wednesday, determined to secure a place in the next round of the competition.

Last Sunday, Lobi Stars’ training session in Makurdi was abruptly halted by irate fans, frustrated with the club’s poor performance in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

The players and officials later relocated to a more conducive environment for their training on Monday.

Despite the setback, the club’s management reassured fans that the team is in high spirits and ready to perform in the Federation Cup.

“Under the watchful eyes of Head Coach Tony Bulus and his technical crew, the final training session was held in a calm and focused atmosphere in Makurdi, with players displaying high spirits and determination,” the club wrote on their official Facebook page.

Lobi Stars also stated that any lingering tension from the fans’ confrontation had been resolved, as the team drew motivation from a productive meeting with the board and management.

With renewed confidence, the NPFL outfit is eager to give their best in pursuit of victory against Solution FC.
