Otto Addo, the newly appointed head coach of the Ghana national team, has expressed his disappointment following their 2-1 defeat to arch-rivals Nigeria in an international friendly match.
Despite acknowledging the positive aspects of his team’s performance, Addo believes that Ghana deserved a better result against Nigeria. The defeat marks Nigeria’s first victory over Ghana since 2006.
Addo highlighted the unfortunate circumstances surrounding the goals conceded by Ghana, including a contentious penalty decision. However, he commended his team’s resilience, especially in the second half when they played with ten men.
While recognizing the need for improvement, Addo remains optimistic about the future and emphasized the importance of moving forward from the defeat.
Despite the loss, Addo remains focused on improving the team and moving forward positively as they face off with Uganda.
