Usman Abdallah, Head Coach of Kano Pillars, has highlighted the motivational aspects of his team’s 1-1 draw against Bayelsa United in Matchday Two of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) on Sunday.

The Pyramid Boys took the lead at the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa with a superb finish from Auwal Ali Mallam. However, Bayelsa United equalized in the second half.

Despite the challenging circumstances, including a grueling two-day journey that left the team physically drained, Abdallah chose to focus on the positives from the match.

“Despite the fatigue from a journey of almost two days, we managed to secure a positive result. This draw can be viewed as a victory considering our physical state and the circumstances leading up to the game,” Abdallah remarked.

Looking ahead, Abdallah is optimistic about the team’s performance in their next fixture.

“Our next target is Remo Stars at home, and it’s going to be a very tough match. They have been preparing much earlier due to their continental commitments, but as always, I’m expecting a positive result,” he stated.

Kano Pillars will face Remo Stars at their newly adopted home ground in Katsina on Saturday.
