Taye Taiwo urges Nottingham Forest to extend Ola Aina’s contract

By Monsurah Olatunji

Former Olympique De Marseille left-back, Taye Taiwo has urged English Premier League outfit, Nottingham Forest to tie Ola Aina to a new long-term deal as they risk losing him for free in the summer.
The 28-year-old has been one of the standout performers this season, with his two goals helping Forest to a shocking second place in the league.
While Aina’s current deal with Forest runs out in the summer, the Nigeria star has played in all of their 18 Premier League games so far this term but has yet to enter pre-contract discussions with his team
The former Torino defender has been labelled as one of the best full-backs in England by all and sundry this campaign and has been included in Troy Deeney’s British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) Team of the Week twice.
Speaking in a recent interview, the ex-international praised Aina’s abilities, asserting that he is among the best right-backs in the league and would have no trouble finding a new club if he decides to move.
“Nottingham Forest cannot afford to let Aina leave for free in June,” he said per Africa Foot.
“It is time to act. Unless they offer him a new contract, he should already be in discussions with possible suitors.
“They should already be in discussions with potent-right-backers. To me, he is one of the league’s best right-backs, so he will have no trouble finding a new club.”
Meanwhile, Aina seems unbothered as he is enjoying his best-ever season in the English top flight and life at the City Ground with the Tricky Trees.
