Rumour Mills: Fulham close to 20m Pounds deal for Alex Iwobi

English Premier League side, Fulham FC are close to capturing Nigerian midfielder, Alex Iwobi for a deal worth 20 million Pounds from fellow Premier League outfit, Everton FC after the departure of Aleksandar Mitrovic.

The team is looking to bolster their attacking line with the Everton midfielder’s contract expiring next summer.

The Toffees would not want to lose the Super Eagles star but need to raise funds.

If the move sees the light of the day, it will see a reunion between Iwobi and Marco Silva who was in charge of Everton FC.

Talks were ongoing over a fee that will involve further add-ons for the former Arsenal player who has one year left on his contract according to Dail Mail on Wednesday.

The Nigerian international joined Everton from Arsenal when manager Silva was in charge at Goodison Park in 2019

Iwobi has become a dependable figure at Everton during recent seasons of fighting relegation.

His extra sake gives Everton room for manoeuvre in the final hours of the transfer window.

With the arrival of Arnaut Danjuma and Jack Harrison at Goodison Park, coach Sean Dyche may feel Iwobi is now surplus to requirements and sanction a move.
