Barcelona fans welcome their team and jeer Real Madrid before El Clasico

Barcelona supporters applauded their players as they arrived at Spotify Camp Nou for Sunday evening’s Spanish league El Clasico against Real Madrid, while the visiting side was met with jeers from the home crowd.

Both squads travelled to the stadium ahead of kick-off amid intense anticipation for a match carrying major significance in the title race. Real Madrid’s players departed from the InterContinental hotel, while Barcelona’s squad left Torre Melina Gran Melia Barcelona.

Hansi Flick’s Barcelona will look to make home advantage count and claim a victory that would extend their lead over their traditional rivals to nine points. Real Madrid, meanwhile, are aiming for a positive result that would reduce the gap and move them firmly back into contention at the top of the table.

The visitors face the match without several influential players. Thibaut Courtois is absent because of influenza, while Vinicius Junior is suspended.

Barcelona will rely on their attacking threat, led by Lamine Yamal and Raphinha, as the two rivals meet in one of the most eagerly awaited fixtures of the season.
