Christy Ucheibe’s header inspires SL Benfica to Portuguese league title

Nigeria midfielder Christy Ucheibe played a pivotal role in helping Portuguese champions SL Benfica retain their league title on Saturday.
She scored one of the three goals during a 3-0 win at Valadares Gaia.
The Super Falcons star headed home for the traveler’s opener at the half-hour mark.
Cristina Martin-Prieto Gutierrez doubled the lead for the perennial UEFA Women’s Champions League (UWCL) campaigners in the 42nd minute.
15 minutes before the end of the match, Beatriz Cameirao sealed the win.
Ucheibe was replaced by Joana Silva in the 78th minute after scoring her second goal in the league coupled with an assist in 11 games.
With two games before the end of the league campaign, SL Benfica already clinched the title with an eight-point lead over Sporting.
Ucheibe has now won five Portuguese league title with SL Benfica.
