Galatasaray ready to match Victor Osimhen salary for Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes

Galatasaray are prepared to offer Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes a salary equal to that of their highest-paid player, Victor Osimhen, according to Turkish football insider Emre Kaplan.

The Turkish champions are stepping up their efforts to sign the Portugal international, who has yet to reach an agreement with Manchester United over a new contract.

Fernandes has been identified as a major target by Galatasaray as they look to strengthen their squad, and the club are willing to support their interest with a significant financial package.

Osimhen is currently Galatasaray’s top earner, meaning his salary would set the level for the proposed offer to Fernandes. Kaplan says the club are ready to match that figure and would also be willing to meet any transfer fee demanded for the midfielder.

“Galatasaray is ready to pay Bruno Fernandes the same salary as Osimhen, who is currently the highest earner in the team,” he said, as quoted by Habersarikirmizi.

“They will also put whatever is asked for the transfer fee on the table. However, I think the reports in the English press are being used in negotiations with United,”

Fernandes remains under contract at Manchester United but has not agreed fresh terms with the club. That situation has encouraged Galatasaray to pursue a possible deal, with the Turkish side continuing to monitor developments around the midfielder’s future.

The 30-year-old has been Manchester United’s captain and one of the central figures in their team. Galatasaray’s interest represents an attempt to attract him to Turkey with a package designed to place him alongside Osimhen as one of the club’s leading earners.

Kaplan’s comments suggest that Galatasaray’s proposed offer would involve both a salary at the level of Osimhen’s and the financial capacity to satisfy Manchester United’s demands for a transfer. However, he also believes reports emerging in the English media could be part of negotiations between Fernandes’ current club and the player.

Galatasaray are continuing to build their squad while also pursuing the Manchester United captain. Their willingness to match Osimhen’s wages underlines the scale of their interest, although Fernandes remains without an agreement over a new contract at Old Trafford.

For now, the Turkish champions’ approach depends on developments between Fernandes and Manchester United, as well as the fee required to complete any potential transfer.
