Bayelsa United’s Technical Adviser, Ladan Bosso, has confirmed that the club is steadily improving after a challenging start to the current Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season, though he acknowledges there is still room for growth.
The Restoration Boys endured a tough beginning to the season, failing to secure a win in their first seven matches.
The South-South outfit also narrowly avoided relegation on the final day of the previous campaign.
However, the Yenagoa based side are now gradually distancing themselves from the relegation zone, sitting in 15th place after 25 games.
Bosso, who took charge at the start of the season, believes the club’s fortunes are turning around as the players begin to adapt to his tactical philosophy.
“The boys are beginning to assimilate the new philosophy. Sometimes it takes players a bit of time to adjust to new playing methods, and that was part of our initial challenge,” Bosso told NigeriaFootball.
“We’ve also had the issue of injuries to some key players. But overall, things are getting better, although we still need to improve our finishing.”
Bayelsa United’s next challenge will be a tough away clash against Plateau United at the New Jos Stadium on Wednesday.
