Paris Olympics Qualifier: Cameroonian duo to miss Nigeria clash in Douala

Two Cameroonian players will miss the crucial first leg 2026 Olympics qualifer against Nigeria in Douala.
Nguiadem Omboudou and Ngah Manga were reportedly absent from the Indomitable Lioness last training session and won’t be available for selection when they line up against the Super Falcons in Douala.
Both sides have shared a rich history of clashes and engagements in the past with Nigeria having the upper hand mostly.
In nine meetings since 2010, Cameroon have won three matches and seven goals scored, while Nigeria won five matches with 13 goals scored and a game ending in a draw.
The Indomitable Lioness have only secured two wins in their last five matches and it came against Uganda and Kenya.
The Super Falcons have three wins in their last four matches after the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and the wins came against Ethiopia in qualifying matches and Cape Verde in the WAFCON qualifiers.
The last time both sides met was in 2022 and a 56th minute strike from Rasheedat Ajibade won the duel for Nigeria.
