Tosin Adarabioyo: Chelsea defender linked with Marseille move

English-Nigerian defender Tosin Adarabioyo is the subject of a transfer rumour linking him with a move from Chelsea to Marseille in Ligue 1.

The 28-year-old centre-back joined Chelsea from Fulham on a free transfer in July 2024 and has a contract with the Premier League club until 30 June 2028. His reported market value is €16m.

Adarabioyo was part of Chelsea’s squad that won the Conference League in the 2024-25 season and the FIFA Club World Cup in 2025. He also finished the 2025-26 campaign as an FA Cup runner-up with Chelsea.

The London-born defender has made 116 Premier League appearances, scoring four goals and providing one assist. Before joining Chelsea, he spent four seasons with Fulham, helping the club win the Championship and secure promotion to the Premier League in 2021-22.

The rumour was recorded on 15 August 2026, with Marseille identified as the interested club. No transfer fee, negotiations or probability of the move have been reported, and there has been no indication that Chelsea have agreed to a deal.

Adarabioyo remains contracted to Chelsea for a further two seasons beyond the current campaign, leaving his position at Stamford Bridge unchanged while speculation about a possible move to France continues.
