Former England forward Peter Crouch has praised Victor Osimhen for his exceptional qualities that have set him apart from his peers, highlighting the Super Eagles striker’s impact at Galatasaray.

After a challenging start at the Turkish club, Osimhen has blossomed into one of the top performers in both the Turkish Super Lig and the Europa League, registering six goals and three assists across all competitions. Crouch was full of admiration for the 25-year-old’s physicality and prowess on the field.

“I love watching him play. He’s so strong, powerful, and fantastic in the air. He’s got good touch, he can play,” Crouch said, speaking to TNT Sports. “He’s a force to be reckoned with. His physical attributes, particularly in aerial duels, make him a nightmare for defenders.”

Crouch also suggested that Osimhen’s time at Galatasaray might be limited, viewing his current spell in Turkey as a temporary phase before a more significant move. He believes Osimhen’s next move will be pivotal for his career and that Galatasaray is likely just a stepping stone.

“This is obviously a stop-gap,” Crouch noted. “I think Galatasaray is just a means for him to wind his contract down a bit, maybe reduce his transfer fee if you’d like, but his next move is crucial.”

While Crouch acknowledges Osimhen’s incredible potential, he offered some advice regarding the striker’s future. The former Liverpool star urged Osimhen to avoid a move to the Saudi Pro League, suggesting that Europe should remain his primary focus.

“If he’ll come to the Premier League, I don’t know, but I think he can go to most clubs in world football,” Crouch said. “I just hope he doesn’t end up in Saudi Arabia, which has obviously been mentioned, because we’d love to see him playing in Europe, playing football at the highest level.”

Osimhen’s performances continue to attract attention from top clubs across Europe, and Crouch’s comments further underline the growing belief that the Nigerian forward is destined for even greater success in one of Europe’s top leagues.
