Bayelsa Queens’ Technical Adviser, Whyte Ogbonda, has promised fans an improved performance as his side prepares for their upcoming fixture in the Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) Super Six playoffs.
The Restoration Girls secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Rivers Angels in their opening playoff match on Saturday in Ikenne.
While the win was a crucial one, Ogbonda admitted that his team’s performance was not up to their usual standard.
“It may not have been our best game, but I’m confident the victory will inspire my players to put in better performances in the upcoming matches,” Ogbonda said in a post-match interview.
He expressed optimism that his squad would remain focused and avoid complacency as they look to build momentum in the competition.
“We won’t be complacent when we face Nasarawa Amazons on Monday,” he added.
Bayelsa Queens will square off against Nasarawa Amazons in their next match as they aim to maintain their winning streak in the Super Six playoffs.
