NPFL: Dec 1 kick off date “can’t be true” – Owumi

Prince Davidson Owumi, the Head of Operations of the Nigeria Skilled Soccer League (NPFL) has mentioned the Interim Administration Committee (IMC) haven’t introduced any date for the beginning of the 2022/23 league season.

He mentioned the clarification grew to become needed because of trending tales within the media which didn’t emanate from any member of the IMC.

“Our consideration has been drawn to tales that are mere media speculations suggesting the league will begin on December 1.

“This can’t be true as NPFL matches are historically not performed on Thursdays and December 1 is a Thursday,” Owumi said.

He mentioned the IMC will seek the advice of with the golf equipment within the days forward to resolve an acceptable kick off date that’s agreeable with the stakeholders.

“We now have some dates in thoughts and can announce it after concluding consultations with the crucial stakeholders,” Owumi concluded.
