Al Hilal ready £75m bid for Everton winger Iliman Ndiaye as Manchester United face transfer setback
Al Hilal have advanced their negotiations to sign Everton winger Iliman Ndiaye and are prepared to meet the English club’s £75m valuation during the current summer transfer window.
The Saudi Arabian club are also willing to offer the Senegal international a salary significantly higher than he could expect to earn in Europe, according to Turkish journalist Ekrem Konur.
Al Hilal’s renewed push has changed the balance of the negotiations. Everton are no longer under pressure to reduce their asking price or consider proposals involving deferred payments, including the offer submitted by Manchester United.
The English club had been competing for Ndiaye’s signature, but Al Hilal’s willingness to pay the full fee upfront has strengthened their position. Their financial commitment could now give them a clear advantage in the race, particularly if Ndiaye decides he is ready to begin a new chapter outside the English league.
Reports elsewhere suggest the transfer could be completed within the next few days. Al Hilal are understood to be working to assemble a squad capable of challenging for both the league title and success in Asia.
Ndiaye is regarded as one of the club’s leading targets for the attacking positions. The coaching staff want to add a winger with the pace and ability to make a decisive difference in the final third, after several of their other targets proved difficult to secure in recent weeks.
The Senegal forward’s future remains unresolved, and there has been no final confirmation that he will leave Everton. However, Al Hilal’s readiness to meet the club’s financial demands has placed them in a strong position as the negotiations enter a decisive phase.
Everton’s valuation of about £75m is now central to the deal. Al Hilal’s willingness to accept that figure means the Premier League club can maintain its position rather than negotiate downwards or rely on a payment structure spread over time.
That development represents a setback for Manchester United, whose proposal was among those affected by Everton’s preference for a straightforward agreement. The emergence of a bidder able to satisfy both the transfer fee and the player’s salary demands has made the contest more difficult for the English side.
